I suspect every reader of this soul-satisfying book will find in it, as I did, several “spiritual points of isomorphism” where our experience touches that of author Bill Judge. He’s a Buddhist, I’m a Daoist, you may be a Christian or Hindu or Muslim, but I think you will recognize, as I certainly did, that we all share the mandala of which he writes so insightfully.
Maybe that's pretentious. What I mean is that Bill Judge's recognition of the image of God reflected to us through Nature, his openness not just to new experiences but to changing his mind and to embracing the gentleness that underlies true masculinity is something we all share or to which we men all aspire. This little gem, The Wonder of it All, helps us to see that. All we have to do is admit it.
A thoroughly enjoyable book. Reading this collection of short stories brought out a variety of emotions in me, sometimes contemplative other times funny or inspiring. The author is well traveled, and this fact makes me want to travel more, especially in Scotland and Ireland. In a world where everything is fast paced, this book helps me slow down and think of the meaning of life.
I thoroughly enjoyed the thoughtfulness that went into this book. A book that combines insightful philosophy, personal experience, and humor, it was extremely well written. Once I picked it up, I could not put it down! I would highly recommend this collection of stories to everyone!!
This book was an amazing collection of stories that show us the beauty of life and the world around us. It brings you to a place where the often ordinary and overlooked become extraordinary if you just take the time to truly absorb the moment. It transcends religions, cultures, races, regions and every other box that society has created and allows one to just appreciate “being” while still holding tight to their own beliefs. You close the back cover with an indescribable feeling of joy and contentment for having gone on this journey.
